For my friend Drea J
Rumpelteazer pranced down the road
near the Junkyard. She was so excited; she was going to see Mungojerrie! Although they were always together, Teazer missed
him when he had to go home.
She met him at the gates where he
was trying to look cool, like Tugger. Teazer knew he was doing it to make her laugh. She jumped on his back startling him.
“ACK!” He struggled to get her off.
“Hi Mungojerrie!” Teazer
said with a bright smile.
“Hey Teazer!” He smiled
back getting ready to jump on her, shaking his tail preparing.
“Wanna go steal from the humans
again?” She asked excited about the thought.
“Actually, would you like
to play hide-n-seek?” Jerrie suggested.
“Why that and not stealing?”
Rumpelteazer stood up straight almost not in the mood to play fight, “Are you sick Mungo?”
“No. I thought you liked hide-n-seek?”
“I thought you liked stealing?”
“I do, but I thought we’d
do something you enjoy.”
“I enjoy stealing just as
much as you do though.” Teazer added, “Are you just not in the mood?”
“Well I just thought we’d
do something different.” He smiled, “I don’t think we can get in trouble playing a game.”
Teazer nodded, “That’s
true!”
Mungo and Teazer ran into the junkyard.
The Junkyard was the best place to play since there were so many places to hide. Mungojerrie jumped on the oven, “Ok,
you count first.”
“What? Why me?” She
pouted.
“Because I know a great hiding
place I want to try out.” He smiled, “Now go in the oven and count to 100.”
Teazer continued to pout as when
went into the oven, although she smiled widely when she sat down. It was exciting playing hide-n-seek with him; he always
had great hiding places that she used in later games with others, “1, 2, 3…”
Mungojerrie chuckled and dashed
off into yard to where his hiding place was.
Rumpelteazer continued counting,
“99, 100! Ready or not here I come!” She jumped out of the oven and looked around. Which way to go. She decided
to look in the car first.
An hour later…
After an hour of searching Teazer
found herself back where she started. She scratched her head curiously. Where was Jerrie? “Oh No! What If I LOST JERRIE!”
She yelled in her head. Her eyes went all big and tears started to build up. She didn’t want to lose her beloved Mungojerrie!
Pouncival walked up behind Rumpelteazer,
“Hey Teazer!”
She turned around in fright and
in sadness, “Pounce!” She cried in fright, “You scared me!”
“Sorry. Is something wrong?”
He asked. She didn’t sound sad, or look sad (she was hiding it) but he tell anyways.
“No…” She said
softly rubbing her eye.
“Are you sure?”
“I LOST MUNGOJERRIE!”
She cried.
“You what?”
“Lost Jerrie!”
“You lost Mungojerrie?”
“It was an accident!”
“How did you lose him?”
Pouncival asked not understanding.
“We were playing hide-n-seek
and he’s gone!” She cried again.
“Did you try looking in the
car?”
“Yes!”
“Around the tire?”
“YES!”
“In the oven?”
“I was counting in the oven!”
“Maybe you should check there
anyways?”
“Why should I do that?”
“Because Jerrie is a sneaky
guy. You know that better then anyone.”
Teazer stayed quite then nodded,
“Ok, I’ll check there.” Teazer and Pounce went to the oven and Teazer saw Jerrie sleeping. “JERRIE!”
She screamed in happiness and hugged him.
Jerrie yelped loudly, “FIRE!
WHERE!”
“No silly! I found you!”
She grinned.
He looked at her with big scared
eyes, “You screamed awfully loud.”
“I’m sorry.” Teazer
frowned.
“That’s ok. Hey, you
found me at least.” He smiled back messing up the fur on her head.
Teazer fixed her fur then said,
“Let’s stick to stealing, ok?”
“Ok.” Jerrie laughed.
“There’s still time, wanna go steal some things?”
“Yes!” Teazer squealed,
“I DO! Common!” She then dragged Mungojerrie away.
