Admetus bounded across the golden field. The warm country air was fair and the sun made the long grass he was playing in comfortably warm. He had lived on this farm all his life and ever since birth it had been his home. He had never once left his loving family and home.

He lived with his mother, father and other siblings, plus the humans that provided him with little love. It wasn’t that they didn’t care, because they did, they were just busy doing other things. There was a loving pat and scratch behind the ear every so often. Otherwise most affection came from his parents.

The wind blew over him. It was chilly, showing the final signs of winder. He shivered in the breeze his whiskers trembling.

“Admetus? Admetus!” he heard one of his older siblings call.

Admetus sat up and saw Victor walking towards him, “What are you doing way out here?” he asked, “Mum was looking for you.”

“Oh, I was just paying.” He smiled jumping up, “Wanna play?”

Victor looked at him and blinked. Victor was an adolescent tom, and he had out grown playing. As the oldest kit in the litter, his parents relied on him to be more mature and help out with his siblings. He didn’t dislike the role of big brother or baby sitter. He enjoyed spending time with his siblings, especially Admetus. A smile went across his face, “Yeah ok. What game?”

”Tag, you’re it!” Admetus laughed smacking Victor’s arm playfully and ran out further into the field, “Can’t catch me!” Admetus laughed as he ran.

“Admetus slow down!” Victor called.

“Nah, nah! Can’t get me!” Admetus called back/

”Addy, you’re going towards the road!” Victor cried.

His cries and screams were faded out by the wind blowing against Admetus’ ears, and the small tom continued running. Admetus stumbled over a hiding stone on the field and rolled into the road landing with little injury. He stood up, thanking the heavens he was alright.

“Addy!” Victor cried, but his scream seemed more devastated then before. Admetus looked to his right and saw a truck heading straight for him.

Admetus woke up, his vision as blurry and his head was pounding. He tried to examine the world around him but he was so dizzy and ill that every movement seemed to increase the pain and spinning. He was so weak he could barley keep his eyes open and he his head feel back onto the material under him and he passed out.

He could hear the cries of Victor echoing through his mind. The devastation and anguish that was haunting him, even in his lifeless state. Admetus woke up for a second time and his vision was clearer, it was then that he felt the pain sharpening on his right side. He struggled to sit up and peer down at his right side in horror. His ribs, right arm and leg were bandaged and he could only imagine what horrific images were underneath them. In fright Admetus looked around. Walls surrounded him but there were bars in the front of the box like thing he was in. Hr could tell he wasn’t on the ground because he could see other cages in across the room from him.

“Hey kit, you alright? Look like you had a nasty accident.” A sweet tom voice said.

Admetus dragged himself to the bars and looked down at the floor. A white tom with brown patches looked up at him from the soft tile floor. He could now see that in the cages across from him were other cats, some looking less ill then him but others looking tragic. He dragged his eyes from the haunting images and looked at the tom again. “Um… Where am I?” Admetus asked softly feeling pain, even when he spoke.

“You’re at the vet, or pet hospital.” The tom replied, “From what I heard, you’re very lucky you survived. What were you doing to have something like this happen?”

Admetus’ eyes scanned the room more. There was a large door on the left of the cages in front of him and a desk to the left pf the door. “I… I don’t remember.” Admetus kept his voice soft. Honestly Admetus didn’t want to think about it.

The tom nodded, “Names Elliot. What’s your name friend?”

”Admetus,” He looked back down at the tom, “Why aren’t you in a cage?”

Elliot laughed warmly, “I’m not here as a patient. My human helps out here. He’s a professional runner. He lets me go running with him when the weathers nice. Hey, wanna see me run?” Elliot voice filled with excitement.

“Uh… no, it’s ok.” Admetus replied nervously. He still wasn’t used to this environment, “Why am I here?”

”You’re hurt friend.” Elliot frowned, “You’re hurt real bad from what I hear. Hit by a vehicle, wasn’t it?”

Admetus shut his eyes tightly, remembering the moment: His brother screaming at him to move, to get out of the way but the fear so powerful that he couldn’t move. The massive metal truck coming towards him what who knows what speed. All he could hear was the tires screeching across the gravel, but he opened his eyes, “Yeah…”

”Where you from? Are you local?” Elliot asked jumping up on the chair in front of Admetus’ cage to get a clear look at him.

“Where is this place?” Admetus asked struggling to move closer to the bars.

“Large city, up north.” Elliot still stood on the chair peering into Admetus’ cage, “Where you from?”

Admetus sighed realizing how far from home he was, “I’m from the country.”

“Whoa now, the city’s real far from there!” Elliot frowned, “How did ya wind up all the way up here?”

“I don’t know,” Admetus frowned back, “You gotta help me get home.”

Elliot shook his head, “No, I can’t right now.”

”Why not?” Admetus held back his tears, “What about my family? My home?”

”I will help you, but not now. You are hurt so badly you can barley hold your head up. Allow yourself time to heal and I promise I’ll get you out. I have a friend who can help you out.”

Admetus bit his lip holding back the urge to cry. He missed his family. Especially Victor. He had never been away from his family, never been away from home.

“Elliot? Where are you buddy?” A human voice echoed through the room. A young human man walked through the doorway, “Ah, there you are.”

Elliot looked over his shoulder at the man. He meowed politely.

“El, do you got a new friend?” The young man smiled approaching Elliot, “You be nice now. He’s hurt really badly and needs all the support he can get.”

Elliot nodded and meowed again as the man swooped up Elliot and carried him away. “I’ll be back tomorrow,” Elliot whispered to Admetus as he was carried away.

Admetus had trouble sleeping that night. He couldn’t stop thinking about his family and how much he missed them. But it wasn’t just his family that was preventing him from sleeping, he couldn’t make himself comfortable. His body was aching and his right side was in so much pain he couldn’t help but cry during the night.

In the morning, Admetus woke up and found fresh food and water in his cage. He ate the food quickly and quietly as he was nearly starving. He napped a little while after that waiting for Elliot to return, if he ever did.

Elliot jumped up on the chair near Admetus’ cage and tapped on the metal bars, “Friend?”

Admetus brought his head up and gazed at Elliot peering in at him again, “Hi Elliot.”

“Sorry I didn’t come sooner,” Elliot frowned, “My human woke up late.”

”It’s ok,” Admetus smiled rubbing his eyes. He was just glad to see Elliot.

“How are you feeling?” Elliot asked.

“Like road kill.” Admetus joked, but it was the best way to describe it really.

Elliot laughed, “Clever.” Elliot’s laughter faded away and he became a bit more serious and concerned, “Did you sleep ok?”

“Yes. I was a little uncomfortable bit I was ok.” Admetus forced a smile.

“Some of the others said you were crying.” Elliot frowned, “I mean it’s ok if you were, I just don’t want you to be sad or upset.”

”I…I miss my family and my side was bothering me. I’m ok though.”

“Is there anything I can do to help?” Elliot asked.

“You already are.” Admetus smiled.

A week or so later, Admetus was able to sit up fully but couldn’t stand yet. One of the human workers had taken him out of his cage and put  new bandages on him. Admetus listened to Elliot and didn’t fight the human. Elliot said they were only doing things to help.

“Feeling better friend?” Elliot smiled early one morning seeing Admetus standing on his feet waiting for him.

Admetus nodded. It had been three weeks since he had been brought in. He was feeling much better but he was still wasn’t ready to leave. “A few more days and I’ll be ready to leave.”

Elliot nodded. He had become great friends with Admetus and he was dreading the day he would see his new found friend leave.

“So how am I getting out of here?” Admetus asked sitting down. There was no point risking another injury if he was nearly healed.

“I’m gonna have to sneak you outta here.” Elliot replied, “See that window beside the desk?”

Admetus moved to the front of the cage and looked to his left. He saw an open window near the desk. He nodded.

“They keep that window open in the afternoon to get some air circulating in here.” He added, “We’re gonna jump out the window. We’re on ground level so it’s not a big jump. My only concern is that getting you down out of the cage will injure your leg again.”

“I’ll be fine, don’t worry about me,” Admetus smiled, “It’s been what, three weeks?”

”Yes, but your muscles might not be healed completely. That truck nearly ripped you in half. I don’t want you to pull something.”

“Don’t worry about it Elliot. I’m a kitten, I can take it.”

Elliot nodded, “We’ll have to be quiet about it. You’re not suppose to be out of your cage unless one of those nurses take you out.”

On Wednesday afternoon, one of the nurses opened the window before she headed out for lunch. Elliot came in a few hours later.

“El, a human opened the window!” Admetus exclaimed leaning against the bars.

“Wait here,” Elliot darted back through the doorway.

“Can’t see as I have much of a choice.” Admetus replied bluntly.

Elliot reappeared in the doorway dragging a pillow behind him as quickly as possible. He sat it down on the floor beneath the cage and hopped up on the chair. He extended his arm and reached for the latch on the cage. He strained to reach it.

“You can reach it, try harder!” Admetus encouraged his friend.

Elliot flicked his wrist and his finger hit the latch and the cage door swung open with a soft creek noise. “Jump down on the pillow,” Elliot jumped off the chair next to the pillow.

Admetus took a breath and leapt, or more so let himself fall, down onto the pillow. It was then that he felt the sharp pain returning. He collapsed on the pillow with a groan.

Elliot examined Admetus as he forced himself up, “Maybe you’re not well enough yet. Come, I’ll help you back into your cage.”

”No,” Admetus stood to his feet, “I’ve gotten this far, a little pain here and there won’t stop me.”

Elliot nodded even though he wasn’t convinced Admetus would be all right. Elliot jumped onto the chair near the desk and hoped up on the desk. Admetus struggled but got up fairly quickly. Elliot peered out of the window. The drop wasn’t quiet as high as the cages was. He jumped down onto the soft grass looking back at Admetus standing in the window.

“Come on,” Elliot called up to him, “The drop is only half what the cages was.”

Admetus nodded but he still didn’t move. He gathered all his courage and jumped down, allowing his left side to take most of the impact. The pain returned but not for long and not nearly as badly.

“You ok friend?” Elliot asked crouching down beside him, fearing more damage had been done.

“No, I’m ok. It didn’t hurt that time.” He stood up shakily. Elliot took Admetus by the arm and pulled him away from the building.

“So where are we going?” Admetus asked as Elliot escorted him down the street.

“Train station,” Elliot replied simply, “I got a friend who rides the rails. He can help you out.”

”Is he nice?” Admetus asked. It was such a kittenish question that it made Elliot laugh.

“He’s a Jellicle, ‘course he’s nice.”

”Jellicle?” Admetus looked at Elliot curiously.

“Oh right,” Elliot’s laughter stopped, “You’re a country folk.”

The two continued walking until they reached the train station. Admetus gazed at the large metal machines Elliot had said to be trains. They resembled trucks and they frightened Admetus greatly. They snuck under a metal fence and crossed some train tracks. Elliot helped Admetus up onto the train platform and stood facing the open door.

“Alright friend,” Elliot stopped, “This is where I say my good-bye’s.”

”Huh?” Admetus turned to him.

“I can’t board with you. I have to get back to my human before he realizes I’m missing, unless he already has. Either way I have to get back.”

”How do I know where to go? What if I get lost?”

”Don’t worry, the train only has one stop: London.” Elliot smiled gently, “When you get there, the Jellicles can help you out.”

”What’s a Jellicle Elliot?”

”It’s a tribe in London.” Elliot replied as the train whistle blew, “Get on the train friend.”

Admetus jumped into the train and stood behind the doors closing line, “Thank you Elliot.”

“Good-bye friend, I mean Admetus.” Elliot waved as the doors closed and the train began to move. Admetus wasn’t sure what to do now. He was on the train but how was he supposed to know when to get off?

Admetus’ ear flicked as he heard footsteps behind him. Startled, the brown kitten jumped and pressed into the corner.

“Sorry,” A red tabby smiled, “Didn’t mean to scare you.”

Admetus quivered in his spot, “Are you Elliot’s friend? The one that rides the rails?”

The tom nodded, “I’m Skimbleshanks. You must be the tom that was in that unfortunate accident.”

Admetus nodded back, “Will this train take me to London?”

”Yes,” Skimble smiled, “And when we get there we’ll head over to the Junkyard.”

”Oh no, I’m supposed to find the Jelly-Bean tribe.” Admetus replied.

It was such an honest mistake that it made Skimble smile, “You mean Jellicle Tribe?”

”Oh yes, that’s what I ment.” Admetus went slightly pink from embarrassment.

Skimble smiled forgivingly, “It’ll be a long time until we reach London. Might as well tell you the basics.”

”Basics?” Admetus asked.

“There’s more then one tribe in London you see: Jellicles, Henches, Pollicles, Pekes and strays. “ Skimble replied, “Come on, we can discuss this over a bit of tea. Do you like your tea weak or strong?” After a bit of tea in the food van, the two were walking down the isle looking for seats.

“If the Pekes and Pollicles are always dragging the Jellicles into their wars and battles, who protects the Jellicles?” Admetus asked curiously.

“We work together. No one can stop those tribes on their own. No one I know anyways.” Skimble half smiled.

Skimble and Admetus walked down the isle between the seats. Skimble jumped into one of the empty seats, “So where are you from? Country was it?”

Admetus nodded, “Yeah. How far am I from there?”

“This train will take you to London and from there you’d have to cross a few cities before you get there.”

After a long train ride, Skimble poked Admetus as he slept, “Wake up Admetus, we’ve arrived.”

Admetus brought his head up feeling dazed. He shook his head and his foggy vision cleared. He stood up and pounced off the seat gently, a slight pain burning in his leg and ribs.

Skimble stood at the doors waiting for them to slide open, “Stay close now y’hear? Humans don’t usually watch we’re they’re stepping.” Admetus nodded slightly and the doors slid open. Skimble stepped off and the train quickly and walked to the station. Admetus followed closely behind, “Now it’s a long walk to the Junkyard. Would you like to brag a bite to eat?”

Admetus nodded and Skimble took him inside. One of the employees working there brought a food and water bowl out for Skimble. Skimble gave it to Admetus as he said he’d already eaten. Admetus gobbled down the food and the two left the station. They were walking down the sidewalk when Admetus asked, “Why are we going to the Junkyard?”

”We need to find someone who can take you back to the country.” He replied, “We’re almost at the Junkyard now.”

Skimbleshanks pounced onto the pipe and sniffed the air. He looked over at the car and saw Munkustrap, “Munkustrap,” he called as he ran towards him, “I’ve got something I need your help with.”

Munkustrap turned to the tom, “What is it?”

”There’s a kit here with me, he needs help getting home,” Skimble added, “He’s from the country.”

”How’d he get all the way out here?” Munkustrap asked.

“He got in a nasty accident. He had to get taken to that fancy vet up north.” Skimble answered with a frown.

Admetus came beside Skimbleshanks. He still wore his bandages and he had a lonely expression on his face.

“Hello there,” Munkustrap smiled then looked at Skimble, “I’m sorry but we can’t take him home tonight.”

”Why not?”

”Tonight’s the ball, remember? Everyone’s coming.” Munkustrap replied, “I’m sorry, there’s nothing we can do tonight.”

Skimble sighed and turned to Admetus, “How would you like to come to our ball?”

”What about taking me home?” Admetus frowned.

“I forgot that tonight was the ball,” Skimble knelt down tp meet hi eyes, “But if you stay, you’ll see something magical.”

”Magical?”

Skimble nodded.

Later into the night, the music picked up and song and dance came together in something never seen before by Admetus. It was truly brilliant in every way. He had never seen or felt anything like it. Admetus found the feeling he had amazing and never wanted it to go away.

Early into the night, a nasty Pollicle wandered into the Junkyard. His fur was dirty and pink (blood) he was foaming at the mouth and he walked oddly. He growled and snarled as he trotted along. He clearly had rabbis and probably other threatening diseases.

Munkustrap saw the Pollicle and cried, “Pollicle!” The Jellicles scattered and the Pollicle charged. They all got into high places and hide in small area’s the Pollicle couldn’t fit in. A few Jellicles darted into the old red car.

Skimbleshanks held Admetus tightly, “It’s ok. He’ll go away in a little while.”

Admetus quivered in Skimbles embrace as he heard the Pollicle growling and attacking different objects, none living of course. He heard a scream and Admetus hot up and stared out the window. A small orange striped queen stood in front of the Pollicle.

“Run Teazer!” A similar coloured tom cried, “Run!”

Teazer bolted into a pile of trash. The Pollicle dove at the pile biting and scratching at it.

“Admetus get down!” Skimble cried.

Ignoring Skimbles cry, Admetus grabbed some goggles he found in the car, two red Christmas light bulbs and placed the bulbs in the goggles. He slid them on.

“Hey!” he yelled at the Pollicle, “Leave her alone!”

The Pollicle turned and saw the brightly lit eyes of the brown tom. (It was actually just moonlight shining on the light bulbs). The Pollicles ears went back and his tail went between his legs.

Admetus jumped down and hissed fiercely at the Pollicle bringing his claws out and swatting in the Pollicles direction, He was trying to make himself look as threatening as possible.

Confused at the creature with red glowing eyes, the Pollicle jolted out of the Junkyard.

After a moment or so, Mungojerrie jumped down from his perch up on the old rocker above the Junkyard, “You saved herm you saved Teazer!”

Skimbleshanks poked his head out and jumped onto the cars trunk. He slid down to the ground and ran over to Admetus, “You ok son?”

Admetus pushed the goggles up, “Yean, I’m fine.” His heart was racing and when the Pollicle had his eyes staring at Admetus it scared him more then anything in his life.

Mungojerrie ran and picked Admetus up, “You saved her! You saved her!”

Rumpelteazer poked her head out of the pole of junk, “You saved me!”

Jerrie set Admetus down gently noticing the bandages, “You got a name, hero?”

”A-Admetus.” He blushed, “My names Admetus.”

“Well Admetus,” Mungojerrie lifted him up and he and Teazer carried him on their shoulders, “You’re a hero!”

“It was nothing,” He said softly trying his best not to smile to big, “Really.”

”Nonsense,” a warm voice said over the rest of chattering voices that had come into earshot. A large gray and brown tom slowly came into sight.

Munkustrap went down on one knee to him, “Old Deuteronomy, I didn’t hear you-“

He held a hand up to Munkustrap, “Don’t worry Munkustrap.” Deuteronomy walked to Admetus, “As long as I live, you will always be welcome here.” He smiled.

It was at that moment that Admetus decided this was where he was ment to be. That night Admetus was accepted into the tribe and his life as a Jellicle began.

Admetus lived with Skimbleshanks and frequently traveled the rails with his adopted father. He was even able to visit Elliot every so often. As Admetus grew, his fur became an odd smokey colour and the fur on his chest formed into a white ‘R’ shape. His new look made him look like a super hero and the Jellicles called him ‘The Great RumpusCat’ and told stories of how he fought off  both the Pekes and the Pollicles, which wasn’t entirely true but it really inspired and fascinated the kittens.

Admetus (or Rumpus as he was now regularly called) had become very well built, and his exterior was fierce. His personality was a different story though. He was very playful and loving. Not much had changed from his kitten hood, except that now Rumpus loved kittens and always played with them. He had never fought or hit anyone, unless it was playfully. He didn’t believe in fighting. He used his scary appearance to warn off any threats to the Junkyard.

“Tell me the story again Munkustrap!” Etcetera pleaded, “Please, please, please!”

“That would be the fourth time today,” Munkustrap frowned, “You probably know the story by now.”

”No yet,” Cettie frowned back, “So you should tell it again.”

RumpusCat pounced up next to Etcetera with a graceful thud, “Hey there!” He greeted with a smile.

“Rumpus!” She threw her arms around him.

He patted her head, “Nice to see you too.”

”Where have you been? Fighting off Pekes and Pollicles? Saving the tribe from extermination?” her eyes went big with excitement.

“Uh,” he scratched his head, “Not exactly.”

”Admetus,” Rumpelteazer sat next to him.

“Hey Teazer,” Rumpus smiled blushing under his smokey fur. Ever since he rescued Teazer from the Pollicle years ago, he and Teazer had been a bit more then friends. Not many cats call him Admetus anymore.

“Wanna head over to the tire?” Teazer asked him, “From what I hear, there’s a new tom. He’s been floating around searching for someone.”

Rumpus nodded, “Yeah ok.” Teazer took Rumpus by the hand and the two walked off. Rumpus pulled the goggles off his eyes and pushed them up onto his head.

“Why do you wear those old things?” Cettie asked following the two.

“It helps me scare off the dogs.” Rumpus replied with a smile.

“Scare them off?” Cettie cocked an eyebrow at him curiously, “Don’t you beat’em up?”

“Of course not!” Rumpus replied in shock, “I don’t believe in violence.”

”Your stories would be so much cooler if you did.” Cettie remarked.

“You don’t need violence in life to make things exciting Cettie.” Rumpus frowned, “Violence makes things worse.”

“Whatever you say Rumpus.” Cettie rolled her eyes.

Rumpus picked Cettie up with ease, “Don’t you roll your eyes at me little missy!” Rumpus made a cheeky smile.

“Eh, put me down!” Cettie squirmed in his hold.

“I’m looking for my brother.” The tom frowned, “He’s been missing for a very long time. I don’t know if he’s even still alive.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll find him.” Munkustrap reassured him.

“Thank you,” The tom smiled thankfully, “If only other cats around here were as kind as your tribe.”

“It’s nothing.” Munkustrap smiled with a nod, “Can you describe what he looks like?”

”Well, he’s brown with black and darker brown stripes. He’s really playful and a bit immature.” He rolled his eyes with a smile.

Munkustrap scratched his striped chin, “No, no one like that has wandered around here.”

Rumpus, Rumpelteazer and Etcetera came towards them wrestling and playing. Rumpus was careful not to hurt Cettie, as his strength was more then he wanted. Teazer ran off after Cettie as she tackled Rumpus and ran off.

Rumpus laughed quietly to himself and dusted his fur off standing up. He looked over at Munkustrap, “V-Victor?” he choked on his words.

The tom turned to Rumpus with an odd expression, probably from his appearance, “Do I know you?”

Rumpus ran up to Victor, “It’s me, Admetus.” He smiled.

Victor raised an eyebrow at him, “I don’t think so. Admetus is brown and black.”

”No,” Rumpus frowned, “it is me!”

Munkustrap jumped up in his place as his memory came back to him, “Wait! Yes, yes your brother did come here.”

”Great where is he?” Victor asked.

“He’s right there,” Munkustrap, tipped his head in Rumpus’ direction.

Victor looked at Rumpus then back to Munkustrap, “If this is your idea of a joke, it isn’t funny.” Victor narrowed his eyes at Munkustrap not amused.

“No really,” Rumpus stepped towards him, “Remember, we lived on the farm with out brothers and sisters. That truck hit me remember? Please say you do.”

Victor’s face lit up, “Addy!” he jumped at him with a hug, “But how did you turn black, er gray?”

Rumpus shrugged, “It did that on it’s own. Maybe it was from puberty.”

“Uh… whats with the goggles?” Victor laughed looking at the goggles with red Christmas bulbs in them.

“I’m the great RumpusCat,” he smiled, “I scare off the dogs that come in the Junkyard.”

”Mum and Dad were really worried about you,” Victor frowned, “Why didn’t you come home?”

“Rumpus shuffled his feet, “Um… I uh… I didn’t want to leave… This is where I live now.”

“Yeah, he’s got a girlfriend!” Cettie teased running back to them, “Her names Rumpelteazer!”

Rumpus blushed, “Quiet Cettie!” He pushed Cettie back.

“But it’s true!” Cettie protested.

“What are you doing here?” Rumpus asked Victor, “Mum and dad lost me, I’m sure they didn’t want you to leave.”

”Mum and Dad are dead.” Victor frowned, “A couple Henches came by and attacked the farm.”

Rumpus’ eyes widened, “What? …Why?”

“They wanted to expand Macavity’s territory.” Victor sighed, “I was the only one that made it.”

Tears built in Rumpus’ eyes. He furiously whipped them away. “I, I should have been there… I should have saved them… It’s all my fault.”

“No,” Victor frowned, “It wasn’t your fault.” Victor hugged him, and was surprised at how big and muscular he now was, “Its not your fault. Not at all. Had you been there, they probably would have killed you too.”

“I could have stopped them. I could have ripped those henches apart!” Rumpus snarled tears streaming down his cheeks.

“I know you well enough to know you wouldn’t hit anyone.” Victor replied, “It’s better you weren’t there. It’s better this way.”

Cettie hugged Rumpus as well, “It’s ok!” She squeezed him, “Don’t cry Rumpus!”

Rumpus let go of Victor, “Thanks Cettie,” H sniffed.

Rumpelteazer hugged Rumpus, “Hugs will make you fell better.” Rumpus blushed furiously and pulled away with a smile, trying to hide his pink face.

“Aww Rumpus is embarrassed!” Cettie laughed.

“Don’t laugh at him,” Teazer giggled, ‘He may be big and strong but when it comes down to it, he’s a big affectionate tom.”

Victor laughed as well, “Yes, that’s Addy.”

”Victor, where will you go now?” Rumpus asked, ‘If you lost the farm to Macavity’s Henches, where will you live?”

Victor shrugged with a sigh, “I don’t know.”

”Why don’t you stay here, with us?” Munkustrap asked stepping beside Victor.

“Really” A smiled went across Rumpus’ face.

“Of course, we could always use more cats around here. Besides, Jenny is losing it with the kittens and we could use some sitters.” Munkustrap laughed.

“Mum always made Victor watch me,” Rumpus replied, “He’d make a great sitter.”

“That was against my will,” Victor laughed, “But I’d help out with the kittens if anyone wanted me to.”

”So… you’re Rumpus’ brother?” Cettie asked.

“Rumpus? Of, you mean Admetus.” Victor smiled.

“No, I ment Rumpus.” Cettie narrowed her eyes at him.

“His name is really Admetus.” Victor corrected her.

“Nu uh, it’s RumpusCat!” Cettie shot back ignorantly.

“Actually Cettie, it’s Admetus,” Rumpus smiled. Cettie frowned. “But you can still call me Rumpus.” He patted her head.

Cettie smiled again, “Ok, sounds good!”

”Come Victor, I’ll introduce you to Deuteronomy, our tribe leader.” Munkustrap smiled as he took Victor to Deuteronomy.

“Hey I wanna come!” Cettie called chasing after them.

Rumpelteazer hugged Rumpus, “So that’s your brother?”

Rumpus nodded, “Yeah. He’s a great guy. He always took care of me and played with me when I was lonely.”

“So that’s it then?” Teazer kissed his cheek.

“Story of my life.” He smiled.
